Michigan organics

GreenEating organic is better for you and the environment than you may think. Organic foods are known for higher nutrient levels and absence of chemicals and pesticides. By reducing your chemical intake and increasing the vitamins and minerals you consume, you can detoxify your body and reduce the risk of disease. In addition to feeling better, less toxins will be put into the earth, increasing the health of the farmland and local animals.

Finding organic food is as easy as it is healthy. There are plenty of organic farms, markets, and restaurants located throughout Michigan. These farms are typically open during certain months of the year and deliver to local stores or sell directly from the farm. Some farms even offer programs where volunteers can have a chance to experience what growing food really entails and the specifics of its benefits. But if seeking out an organic farm isn’t going to fit in your schedule, it is always possible just to head to the nearest Kroger or Meijer where they too supply organic products. If you give organic food a try, I’m sure you’ll feel the benefits.
