Media labWelcome to Garden! We’re so happy you stopped by.

Just as Detroit is nurturing the country’s biggest urban gardening and agriculture existence in a postindustrial era, we are too — by providing a real and virtual space to nurture and grow our understanding and implementation of environmentally responsible and effective marketing communications programs.

Garden is a community space for everyone — employees, clients, and friends — to learn more about our green experience and share their own insights and ideas. Visit the site for a refreshing dose of green-related news, resources, humor, and tips that help individuals and businesses to balance their resources with environmentally responsible actions.

In all that we do — partnering with clients, nurturing employees, and supporting our communities — we are guided by these principles:

See Green. We’re committed to helping clients discover new ways to make their marketing communications more earth-friendly.

Think Green. We’re committed to learning from the best environmental marketing experts and then applying that knowledge to every marketing challenge.

Work Green. We’re committed to making immediate changes in our business culture that help create a more environmentally friendly workplace.

Live Green. We’re committed to helping our people take green initiatives outside the walls of the office and into their homes and communities.

Kudos on your green efforts. In addition to our Wichita-based agency’s internal efforts to be more green, we’ve worked to motivate folks to create plant and critter-friendly backyard spaces.

Greteman Group team members also have been working with a Roots & Shoots club at the Boys & Girls Club at 21st and Opportunity for more than a year. We’re assisting with plans for its garden (shaped like a butterfly). This all-volunteer effort is going to be wonderful.

Our agency created a book/kit, with a portion of the proceeds going to Roots and Shoots. You can learn more about creating a backyard habitat at http://www.gretemangroup.com/nutsfornature/

May all our gardens grow and flourish,

Hi,

I’m a Warren, MI resident and it’s nice to have the word “Green” thrown around, and this seems like “Green Washing” and green image making more than actually doing anything to be greener or more sustainable in Campbell-Ewald’s energy practices. On the other hand, you’ve let me write this, and perchance you’ll allow it to stay up on this neat, free, bulletin board?

There are many moves that a building like Campbell -Ewald’s can make to save energy while saving money (like turning off as many lights as possible at night). From the 5th floor up, please put up bird deflecting decals (see the Detroit Audubon Society) if lights off at night isn’t possible for your business practices.

The Mayor of Warren, James R. Fouts, has recently signed the US Mayors Climate Protection Agreement, it would be awesome if you could help support the city in its going green by documenting its positive moves.

Which reminds me of sustainability, a topic that has financial and investment ramifications - to wit, read the free pdf book download of PLAN B 3.0

Welcome to the Garden, Hal.

I’d like to direct you to this post to read more about some of the practical things we are doing at the agency to be more environmentally conscious.

I know we’re not the greenest agency out there, but we’re doing what we can and we’ve created the Garden specifically to open a dialogue for more ideas.

So thanks for the input.

Thank you for having this site and initiating green practices here at the company.
One great way to save on emissions, gas, electricity etc.. is to allow workers to work a couple days a week at home. This would greatly improve employee morale.
