Drink up

GreenYou’ve probably already noticed the huge water-filter systems in the kitchens. But the thing you’ll really notice over the next few weeks is the absence of plastic water bottles around the agency.

We’re making the transition easy for you: use your new reusable Garden water bottle to fill up with fresh, great-tasting reverse-osmosised (is that a word?) water, take a small step toward helping clean up our landfills.

In case you didn’t know:

  • 86% of plastic water bottles are landfilled or incinerated — not recycled
  • 1.5 million barrels of oil are used in the U.S. alone to make plastic water bottles
  • Bottled water is more expensive per gallon than gasoline and incurs a huge carbon footprint from its transportation
