We like kudos…especially the green ones

GreenNot to toot our own horn, but we are very proud to have recently been recognized by Great Lakes Recycling for our recycling efforts. GLR awarded us the 2007 Responsible Recycling Award which is given to select Michigan businesses that have successful recycling programs and initiatives.

Keep up the good work and remember to continue recycling. Every person makes a difference when it comes to our environment.

Eat green

GreenNotice I didn’t say “eat your greens,” although you can do that too, at any of the “certified” restaurants listed by the Green Restaurant Association. Certified restaurants have met the Association’s standards by:

  • Using a comprehensive recycling system for all products that are accepted by local recycling companies
  • Eliminating polystyrene foam (Styrofoam) products
  • Committing to completion of four “Environmental Steps” each year of membership
